DEAREST KISS,
- Since you fancy yourself to be some sort of crackerjack with the Bible… an “ace” if you will… I was wondering… if you could answer a question for me.
- The question is…
which comes first—
The justification of all
or the reconciliation of all????
A very important question as I see it….
You see many “christians” are so concerned with dates and times… you know… like “when the rapture is gonna happen, and all that…
Well… I think this is a fine question to ask…
Which comes first —
The justification of all?
Or the reconciliation of all?
Both are taught in the scriptures… right?
Romans 5:18 causally mentions the justification of all… right?
Colossians 1:20 mentions the reconciliation of all, as well.
Well… Do they happen at the same time, or does one come first?????
Hmmmmm?
Now keep in mind, both are THE WORK OF GOD… and we can say with assurity (sp?) they are THE WORK OF GOD IN THE CROSS OF CHRIST.
BUT, DOES ONE HAPPEN BEFORE THE OTHER CAN HAPPEN?
Keep in mind, justification is the work of God
Also, keep in mind, reconciliation is the work of God.
I know you have a tendency to lean on the idea that we have a part in these works of God.
And you tend to make these works of God in the cross of His beloved Son, “an offer” instead of “His operation” altogether.
But … we have to start somewhere seeing God. So, why not start with these questions.
Which comes first???
The justification of all????
Or
The reconciliation of all????
Romans 5:18…
Colossians 1:20…
You can answer below in the comments…
Or… if you’d like, you can come into the show, the livestream… and give your answer there, with me.
For the rest of you saints… who are peering into the things of God…
This seems to be a vital question….
Of course all is of God… (Romans 11:36, II COR 5:18-19, And that passage in Acts where Paul tells the crowd, “All is out of Him” in some form or another… where is that? Acts 17? Can’t remember.)
We want to appreciate the things of God. And we’d want to understand how God operates all things, right?
So, we also want to know how we come closer to God. Are we justified first? Wow.
Are we then reconciled more and more? Wow.
Just thinking.
Yours…
Ace
P.S. Grace to you, and peace.
Romans 5: 18 Consequently, then, as it was through one offense for all mankind for condemnation, thus also it is through one just award for all mankind for life’s justifying.
Colossians 1:20 and through Him to reconcile all to Him (making peace through the blood of His cross), through Him, whether those on the earth or those in the heavens.
Romans 4:25
Who was given up because of our offenses, and was roused because of our justifying.
Romans 4:25
Who was given up over (?) our offenses, and was roused over (?) our justifying.
