IS GOD OUTSIDE OF TIME?

Regarding God being IN TIME with us… hmmmm… just thinking… So many so-called “spiritual” people… “deep spiritual” people… yak on and on about “God being outside of time”… who the hell knows what that even means?

It does make sense to me, that “TIME IS A MEASURE OF CHANGE“… like we know it’s Friday, because things have CHANGED since Thursday. And if time is a measure of change, then before God began creation, TIME did not exist…. for there was no change and thus no way to measure the passage of change when nothing is changing.

So Paul say “THE EONS WERE MADE IN CHRIST”… Thus, we can assume TIME BEGAN when God made Christ (the firstborn of all creation says Colossians 1:15 or is it 16)…And Ephesians 1:11.

God began creation… thus TIME BEGAN… and God will COMPLETE creation and be all in all, and if God is ALL IN ALL, we could assume TIME will cease as there will be nothing to measure as CHANGE (as currently understood) will end. God all in all–wow, what a concept.

Sorry… stream of concsiousness (even though I don’t know how to spell it)…

Assumptions In The Body Of Christ

The Wrong Assumptions Vs The Right Assumptions

Assumptions are important.
But of course the right assumptions help us. And the wrong assumptions lead us into trouble.
We assume the sky is blue.
That water is wet.
That fire is hot.
That the winter is colder than summer.

Assumptions are important.

But the question is, what do we assume about God?
That He has a long, white beard?
That He sits on a throne?
That He gets angry when things go wrong?

Life is full of assumptions that are flat out wrong. Misleading. Confusing.

If we assume that Paul is the apostle of the nations… that he was given the evangel of the uncircumcision… that his message is unique and special and FOR US TODAY…
…so today’s question: What does Paul assume about God?

For the moment, I want to point to two things—two assumptions in Paul’s writings.

And they both begin with this unique phrase:

“This is a faithful saying…”

I TIMOTHY 1:15 Faithful is the saying, and worthy of all welcome, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, foremost of whom am I.

I TIMOTHY 4:9 Faithful is the saying and worthy of all welcome (10)… (for for this are we toiling and being reproached), that we rely on the living God, Who is the Saviour of all mankind, especially of believers.

Two Amazing Assumptions:

  1. Christ came into the world to save sinners.
  2. God is the savior of all mankind.

If you read the Bible… and especially Paul’s letters with these two assumptions, you’ll have a better idea of God’s purpose and plan.

Christ did not come into the world to TRY to save sinners, but to indeed… SAVE THEM.

And God is not the POTENTIAL Savior of all mankind… but He is indeed THE SAVIOR of all mankind.

Rejoice.

The assumptions of the “christian” religion is that man has a “freewill” and God merely wants to save all, but it’s not not possible… and Christ came into the world to save sinners, but He must factor in man’s freewill.

Yikes. Bad assumptions. Especially considering “freewill” is a man-made idea and cannot be supported in the scriptures.

Check your assumptions.
Water is wet.
God is the savior of all.
Grace to you.
Ace.

Is God In Total Control, or in Damage Control?

Can God be the destroyer of those he does not destroy?

Can the God be the savior of those he does not save? (I TIMOTHY 4:10)

The Freewiller Believes in His Own Freewill.

The freewiller does not believe or trust God.
He knows it’s very dangerous to do that.

Sure God got things started with creation and all… but obviously things went wildly wrong.
Evil, sin, satan, so many things.
The freewiller looks at these things and knows for sure that God is not in ultimate control. That what God is really doing these days is DAMAGE CONTROL. — Not “ultimate control”.
Therefore, the freewiller MUST use his own freewill to ensure the best possible outcome for himself. He must freely “believe” — or all is lost.

So the freewiller freely “believes” his belief will ensure his own salvation.
After all, everyone knows “God is the perfect gentleman” and would never use “force” “causality” or “influence” on someone against their will.
So, the freewiller uses the power of his own freewill to maximize his chances of happiness, success and eternal life in heaven.

The freewiller must use his freewill to make the right choices in life, decide correctly which path to take, determine for himself the final outcome.

No question about it.

Never mind that the scripture says…

  1. All is out of, through and for God.
  2. It is not of him that willeth.
  3. God locks up all in stubbornness.
  4. That God operates all things after the council of his own will.
  5. That God gives life and breath and all to all.
  6. etc.

Notes On Eonian Life

The salvation of all is guaranteed by the death and resurrection of Christ.
But some don’t acknowledge that there are eons of time in “God’s eonian purpose” (See Eph 3:11)… and during the eons some, like those who did not enter Noah’s ark… do not see life.

But what happens during the eons is not the same things as what happens when the eons are complete.
Eonian life is for a few.
Eonian life is not the only thing Christ accomplished at the cross on our behalf.
Eonian life is for believers among the nations.
Eonian life is for those of Israel who keep the law.
God is especially the savior of believers.
But God IS the savior of all.
Not all believe… but all for whom Christ died will see life, and he died for all.

Creation Has Begun, But It is By No Means Finished Yet.

Creation is not done yet… it has begun, but is by no means finished. God has an eonion purpose (Eph 3:11)… Not everything happens at once. Salvation needs to be set up… with sin and evil to show a contrast. Otherwise, we could not appreciate it all.
Adam had it “good” in the garden, but he did not know it UNTIL he was kicked out.
In a sense, we were saved by Christ’s work on the cross… in another sense, we won’t be saved until death is abolished (I COR 15:25)
There are 5 eons in God’s eonian purpose.
We are in the 3rd eon of time right now. Paul calls it “the wicked eon”. There are two more eons to go before all is complete.
Are you trying to rush things along?
Trust God.
There’s still a lot of stuff to go through.

REGARDING the “goats” in Matt 25… they are NATIONS, not individuals… Matt 25 is a national judgment, not an individual affair.
Matthew is for and about the Jews and the promised Kingdom to them.
We as the church, which is His body have a different calling. Our lot is among the celestials. (sp?)
The key to fitting the whole picture together lays in Paul’s writings. The rest of the Bible is for, about and written to the Jews, concerning the Earthly Kingdom.
God’s purpose (Eph 3:11) is the be all in all.

Notes on The Eons And Salvation

Dear Freewill Chick,

The salvation of all is guaranteed by the death and resurrection of Christ.
But you don’t acknowledge that there are eons of time in “God’s eonian purpose” (See Eph 3:11)… and during the eons some like those who did not enter Noah’s ark… do not see life.
During the eons, many things have to happen. Sin, death, evil, trouble of all sorts, but the eons will end. And God will be all in all.
You keep equating eonian life with all there is. But no… eonian life is important. There is work to do during the eons. Both on the Earth and among the celestials.
Colossians 1:15-20 promises reconciliation for all… all in the heavens, all on Earth, all under the Earth.
All, baby, all.
Eonian destruction is the lot of the wicked and unbelieving… But there is nothing “eternal” in the word “destruction”… in fact the word “destroy” and “LOST” are the same word in the Greek New Testament… as in “the lost sheep”… The lost/destroyed sheep can be found.
Those who find themselves in “eonian destruction” — it’s just what happens during the eons of time.
Every warning, threat, doom verse you come up with is concerning eonian life.
The word “eternal” is just not in the Bible, it was an invented word, made up by John Wycliffe, who made the first English Bible.
God is the savior of all mankind, especially — but not exclusively — of believers.
You keep jumping to this “freewill” mythology in order to limit God’s work in Christ’s cross.
Eternal destruction needs a “freewill” mythology to get God off the hook for sending folks to “hell”.
I’m here to tell ya… God is not on the hook for eternal hell… there is no such thing.
God locks up all together in stubbornness so that He might be merciful to all (ROM 11:32)
God made sure Adam sinned.
God gave the law that sin might increase.
Sin is a pre-requirement for salvation.
Without Joseph’s brothers doing that horrible sin against Joseph, they would not have been saved from the famine.
Without the horrible sin of Judas we would not have a risen savior.
Even YOUR sins sent Christ to the cross, not just Judas’ sin.
Sin is not a problem to God. See the cross.
Death is no longer a problem, Christ rose.
Evil is not a problem, God created evil (ISA 45:7)
The issue before us is this: God shows us grace and saves us NOW… but for what purpose? Well, in the future, we, the church which is His body, will be put on DISPLAY says Paul in Ephesians. And when the celestials see the GRACE shown to us, they too will come home to the Father.
All this has nothing to do with what God has planned for Israel on the Earth during the coming eons.
Israel’s place is with Christ’s rule on Earth, our place is with Christ’s effort to “reconcile all” even those in the heavens.
That is why we have a special salvation.
After all, God is the savior of all, especially of believers. (I TIM 4:10)

Grace Overwhelms

A great verse from 1 Timothy. Chapter 1:14

Yet the grace of our Lord overwhelms, with faith and love in Christ Jesus.

This what it does for me all the time!

 Dear Friend,

  I’m just thinkin’ here…
The freewillers’ “gospel” does not leave one feeling “overwhelmed” at all. It (the freewillers’ message) is more or less like dealing with a used car salesman…. who says… “If you give me this, I’ll give you that.”
But if we stick to the used car metaphor… the true gospel message is… “You want a car… why, the whole car lot is yours, now and forever, anything else you want??? I’ll get right on it.” — OVERWHELMING, huh?

All In Christ… or In Christ All…

THE FREEWILL CHICK TRIED TO SAY IT WAS ALL IN CHRIST…

MY REPLY:

YOU limit the picture by saying ALL IN CHRIST… but it’s really IN CHRIST ALL… as you’ll see in I Cor 15:22… but in this case Eph 1:10…
He will gather together all… and how will he do it… the instrument is Christ…. as in I COR 15:22… it’s not all in a location, it’s ALL by the instrument of the work of God in the cross of Christ..
You shamefully deny God’s work in the instrument of Christ cross… and you make the WORK of man the key instrument of salvation — whether that work is believing, obeying, hopping up and down on one foot… doesn’t matter.
You make it all in Christ… when God’s word says in Christ all…
He will gather together all, in Christ.
If Paul were from the FREEWILL church he clearly would not use such loose language.
Eph 1:10 would say it as you state it…
“he will gather all who are in Christ”
I’m with Paul… He will gather all. Period.
Shame on you.

A LITTLE GRAMMAR LESSON FOR THE BODY OF CHRIST

IN CHRIST” can be the locative case or the instrumental case.
In I COR 15:22– and in EPH 1:10… the “IN CHRIST” or “IN HIM” is the instrumental case.
You can tell this way….
When a person or all people are in view, the case is INSTRUMENTAL.
When salvation is the main subject of the sentence the case is LOCATIVE.
Thus
How does God save Fred?
He saves Fred IN CHRIST — the instrumental case.
How does God save the entire human race?
He saves them IN CHRIST — the instrumental case.
HOWEVER….
But — When the emphasis of the sentence shifts —
Who does God save? (“Who” becomes the subject of the sentence)— Then the answer: He saves those in Christ — the locative case.
If you force the case to be locative when it was meant to be instrumental, you not only destroy the meaning of the sentence, you also LIMIT God and the objects of His love. (Sinners).

EXAMINE I CORINTHIANS 15:22: (PART ONE)

For even as in Adam ALL die
(so here we see “IN Adam” in the instrumental case, not the locative case. The subject is ALL, the question is HOW DO THEY COME TO DIE?, the answer: the instrument of Adam.

All are IN Adam as a matter of course, No one has to do anything special to be IN Adam. You don’t have to believe in Adam to be “in” Adam, you don’t have to obey Adam to be “in” Adam, you don’t have to dress like Adam to be “in” Adam.

The phrase “IN ADAM” is in the instrumental case in this verse. If IN ADAM were the locative case, it would exclude some humans, making those who die a special class. Some would be IN ADAM and some would not be IN ADAM. Therefore it is the instrumental case.)

EXAMINE I CORINTHIANS 15:22: (PART TWO)

So also in Christ shall ALL be made alive
(Again, here we see the INSTRUMENTAL CASE in the phrase “IN CHRIST“… not the locative case. The subject is ALL, the question is HOW DO THEY COME TO BE MADE ALIVE? the answer: the instrument of Christ. All are assumed to be IN CHRIST just as much as all are assumed to be IN ADAM. In this context, no one has to do anything special to be IN CHRIST. The subject is not HOW they came to be in Christ, the subject is that ALL WILL BE MADE ALIVE, thus the “in Christ” is the instrumental, not locative case.

You may find the locative case in other passages of scripture regarding “those in Christ”… but you cannot force the locative case here in I COR 15:22
Here it clearly says ALL DIE… and ALL WILL BE MADE ALIVE. The instrument of these great events are Adam, and Christ.

For those freewillers who cannot handle this verse as it stands… and must change IN CHRIST ALL shall live… to… ALL IN CHRIST shall live…..
Then, you must give the same treatment to those who die, THEY ALL DIE IN THE INSTRUMENT OF ADAM. . You must say…
ALL IN ADAM WILL DIE
(Ahhh but that would expose your ruse. For all do die, the question is, HOW, the answer is, they are in Adam, like it or not. And all are in Christ, like it or not.

Notes On The “Expansion” of God.

THE fact that God has temporarily “set aside” Israel (Romans 11:1) and EXPANDED His operations into the nations (gentiles) proves that God is able to EXPAND.

“IS HIS ARM SO SHORT THAT HE CANNOT SAVE?”

So, it should come as no surprise that salvation, reconciliation, justification, redemption, and grace to sinners etc. are revealed to be universal in scope.
Apparently the EXPANSION will include all creation.

(Col 1:20, Romans 5:18-19, I Tim 4:10, I Tim 2:4, Eph 1:10, I Cor 15:20-28)
